Flex is a white-labeled rider app built on Android and iOS to be used by clients such as Facebook, New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (NORTA), Tesla, and Genentech. Flex was an application that allowed a company to leverage Transdev services to provide shuttle service around designated service areas. I was one of the two product designers for this project.
I created key user flows for each scenario. These key flows were used for discussion during grooming meetings and for developers to better execute on completing their assigned tasks.
I led a redesign of the brand and UX/UI of the application in the early stages to ensure that we were providing the users with the best possible experience given the different types of modes of transport. This application challenging because it needed to be designed to support any combination of Bus, Private, Shared, Bike, Walk, and AV transportation options that were available within a service area.
For our AV project, we conducted a thorough usability study to pick colors that would resonate best with our primary users.
Because stops were so limited in certain service areas that contained only AV stops, we had considered the possibility of showing all possible pickup locations on a map to select from as pins, instead of the traditional search method. After running usability tests and tasks analysis with several riders, we've determined that the traditional search was a better.
